Alla Prima International was formed as a core group for a special list of artists; all interested in the exploration and cultivation of Plein Air Painting. Travels take them to varied incredible scenery locations in the USA, as well as around the globe to paint as a group, to enjoy the camaraderie of fellow artists, and to discuss art ideas during their many group sessions.
The California Art Club’s primary purposes are to promote the fine arts in the fields of painting, drawing and sculpture referred to as traditional and representational art, with a special emphasis placed on the academic traditions and craftsmanship established by the founders, to produce and promote art exhibits that foster understanding and interpretation of the traditional art heritage, and to furnish educational opportunities in the fine arts. Many of the members are plein air artists.
International Plein Air Painters was created for the sole purpose of advancing the execution and enjoyment of plein air painting without the restrictions and limitations of borders or regions. Its’ members share inspiration and commraderie both on the internet and at ‘paint outs’.
The primary motivation for the formation of LPAPA was to link the strong plein air movement of the early California painters to the present ones and to create a bond amongst the contemporary plein air painters throughout the nation.
The Mid-Atlantic Plein Air Painters Association honors the tradition of fine art that finds beauty in the truth of Nature.

We recognize that all art is important, and support artists of all ages and all skill levels with education, artist services, painting and exhibition opportunities. The Plein-Air Painters of America is a fellowship of professional artists dedicated to the historic tradition of painting directly from life. Its members include some of the top names in plein air painting. Membership is by invitation only.

The focus of the Rocky Mountain Plein Air Painters is to foster and promote the advancement of on-location painting within the Rocky Mountain region. The R.M.P.A.P. will work to bring artists and art appreciators together in a creative atmosphere.
